Carving Pumpkins! Family Fall Time!

So we took a trip to our local pumpkin patch and picked out some awesome pumpkins! So now its time to.. carve them!

This was our first time carving together as a family. The boys are now just old enough to make faces on the pumpkins.. of course they couldn’t really carve them, my hubby and I did that part 😉

I was too busy to get pictures during the carving, but was able to snap a few while my hubby was finishing his up!

Love things like this.. we spent the afternoon cleaning up the yard, filling up large holes in the ground (from Skye digging ha) and my hubby finished puting up our fence! YAY! Now we have an area to take the boys and Skye out so they can run around.

We bought one of those cheap $1 carving kits at Walmart.. and you know what.. it actually worked! HA! I was surprised.. of course we used a large knife to cut off the top, but the scoop and carving tool worked perfectly.

After all the carving was done we then rode over to the Dollar Tree and bought some battery operated tea lights.

They turned out really cool! This was is LJ’s.

Baby A’s and Zieke’s is towards the back with two faces ha!

And.. Daddy’s! He had to make a scary face 😉

I am now roasting the pumpkin seeds and keeping some to plant next year! I would LOVE to have a huge pumpkin patch next year.. we shall see!

I remember reading Fancy Nancy as a little girl, so seeing all of this again is pretty cool.

There is an all new series on Disney Junior about Fancy Nancy and to top it off Jakks Pacific has launched a whole new Fancy Nancy toy collection.

We were lucky enough to snag a doll at the TTPM Holiday Showcase! She is super cute! She even comes with a blind bag full of fancy! She is poseable and dressable!

There are 3 others you can collect that are just like her, she is the classique doll!

Isn’t she adorbs? I LOVE her personality!

Fingerlings has done it again! All new Skeleton Bonehead Dinos and Breakout Playset, just in time for Halloween.

We first seen the Fingerlings Dinosaurs at Sweet Suite, then again at the TTPM Holiday Showcase.. well they now have not only dinos, but a crate playset were two dinos can sit in and you flip a lever and the dinos break out.. AND they have Skeleton ones! They call these boneheads! Soo cool, and they glow in the dark, super bright too!

They ALWAYS send awesome packages, one of my favorites to receive.

In this spooky box it had a black light flashlight, awesome that it did because it charged up the dinos so they glowed really bright in the dark! They are sent an FX sound affects machine.. so so cool.. as well as a little wooden coffin with candy bones!

The breakout set retails for around $25 at Walmart or on Amazon. The boneheads can also be found at Walmart or Amazon for about $15. Now the playset comes with a dinosaur, so for the price of $25, it’s a great deal. Definitely cheaper at Walmart right now.

Tukens Orchard and Farm Market! Pumpkin Picking Fall Family Time!

Fall! Personally my favorite season.. and picking pumpkins with the fam.. my favorite thing to do during my favorite season!

We have been wanting to do more as a family, and we happened to find a farm… with a pumpkin patch.. and it was local!

Tuken’s Orchard and Farm Market..such a fun place! They have an animal petting area. You can purchase a large cup of food for $1 and feed the animals. They had Goats, pigs, sheep and a Llama. Boys loved it.

They had tons of pumpkins! Some pre-picked and also ones in the patch were you could go and pick them yourselves. You don’t see to many like that, where you can pick them on your own! The boys thought this was the coolest thing!

It was a fun day! The pumpkins were priced by the pound. We got 5 pumpkins for around $28, which really isn’t so bad considering that the boys picked out some of the largest ones! ha! They had really small pumpkins and gourds for just a few bucks. So this could make out to be a really cheap family day!

They had a cute shop with homemade goodies, decor and candy. Definitely a place we will revisit next year!

Treasure X by Moose Toys, kids get to dig! Will you find gold?

Moose Toys does it again! These Treasure X toys are sure to be a favorite and they will be listed as one of my top 10 Stocking Stuffers for this Christmas! (That list coming soon!)

I love these types of toys, a bit messy, but so much fun! The concept is super fun and the 10 steps make it even more exciting, it’s not like they just open it and it’s done.. there’s a little bit of a process 😉

We received one when we attending the TTPM Holiday Showcase this past September. We were going to do a video review, but sometimes the boys just like to open things with out having to film.. so I figured I would blog about it instead.

We ran warm water over it for about 30 seconds, MAKE SURE to do this, as it really helps with the digging, there is a label on the top of the Treasure X that mentions doing this.

Look at how bright he glows! I was super surprised! We have a black light that we charged him with! LJ was shocked as well at how bright he was.

Osmo’s all new Super Studios! Disney style!

Technology.. my kids are super addicted to technology. I mean, to be honest, aren’t we all? It has it’s good side though, especially when it comes to how much you can learn with it.

Osmo know’s exactly how to use technology for the good! They just launched a new system: Super Studios. There are three sets, Mickey Mouse, Disney Princesses and The Incredibles!

We received the Mickey Mouse set and, of course, the boys loved it! They played with it after we filmed as well as this morning! Such a cool learning tool on how to sketch/draw. It has easy step by step illustrations as well, so that is a plus for kids who are just learning how to sketch and draw. It’s bright and animated, bringing your drawing to life. The smiles on my boys faces are amazing when they see their drawings being animated.. I just love it.

The Osmo base is sold separately, but you can use the same base for each system that you buy. It retails for $29 on the Osmo site, they even have a base to use with your iPhone, that retails for $19. Each Super Studios set retails for $19, which in my opinion, is a steal!

Now I believe they are working on creating bases that work for other tablets as well, which is awesome, but for now, they offer these for only the iPhone and iPad.

Slime and Splash Water Slide, not your ordinary summer water slide!

Slime.. it’s all the rage.. but mix slime with a summer favorite.. and you have an instant party!

Bestway is known for all of their fun summer products like, floats and water slides, but they sure took it a whole new level with this Slime and Splash Water Slide!

Super easy set up. Comes with 4 kid safe packets of slime. We used two at once for more slimier experience! The slide itself is 23ft! It’s a super long slide! Ages recommended for this side is 5-12. Watch out, you will zoom down this slide super fast after being in the slime! Ha! My 2 year old played in it just fine, just have to really watch them!

They just love playing in water.. but the slime added a lot more fun!

Such a fun product for summer. It’s super easy to put away as well. Super durable too!

Mini Boxy Girls! 6 dolls to collect with surprise boxes!

I just love this line.. we received a small version with surprises a while back.. and now I have finally found them as Walmart! There are 6 to collect and each come with 3 surprise boxes.

Here they are in their boxes before we opened them! Aren’t they JUST THE CUTEST?! EEK! I Flipped out when I saw these! Walmart had them on a wire rack by the Polly Pockets so it was kinda hard to see them, unless you are looking for them.. which I just got lucky and spotted them as I was browsing the isle for the second time! (Sure glad I did too!)

You can change their clothes and shoes! I do wish they were pose-able though. I had a hard time getting them to stand up. I think they should have small holes in their ears like the larger dolls so they can wear earrings too. All in all they are super cute!

The boxes seem to contain either shoes or a purse, I personally, would like to see some accessories like lipstick or even some outfits!

I love this picture! They are so colorful and you can swap outfits and shoes. Best part.. they retail for $6! AMAZING! I am buying my Niece’s each one for Christmas!

They have them available on Amazon, but for like triple the price (eek), I can not find them on the Walmart website, so you may have to call your local Walmart to check with them as I know these are fairly new.

LOL Surprise, watch out.. there are some new girls in this toy town! heheh!

The Magic School Bus Rides Again Science Kits.

Beep Beep! It’s The Magic School Bus! Mrs Frizzle and her class are back again!

The Young Scientist Club brings a whole new experience to science kits with these awesome sets! We were sent two to review, and they are just amazing and reasonably priced too.

These would be perfect for homeschooling or as an extra learning experience for any kid. My boys LOVE hands on learning, I think most kids do though, so this was perfect!

This Magnet set is really cool, there are so many experiments in this set, some that are really simple and more that are hands on. I love the book that is comes with, it includes the experiment how tos as well as writing space for taking notes for the outcome of each experiment. This set retails for around $20 on amazon.

The Microscope Lab is super cool! It comes with the microscope, slides to view with specimens attached and even clear slides to add your own specimens on, cover slips, magnifying glass, tube for collecting specimens, file cards with all the information you need, tweezers and a notebook for writing down all of your collected information.

This retails for right around $40 and can be purchased on Amazon.

We try to have a family night once a week where we play a game or do a special activity. These are going to be perfect! I can’t wait for our next family night!

This RC car is like no other! Not only does it zoom around on the ground, it also zooms around on the WALL!

To my surprise… it actually WORKS on the wall and for a retail price of $20 you really can’t go wrong with it!
